Loewe is holding court at a suite at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong to take orders for their made to order service. Customers are shown pieces from upcoming collections, which they can then customize by choosing different materials or colorway or sizing.
One of the best pieces to come out of the Valentino spring 2013 collection are the Rockrunner sneakers with the camouflage print and rubber studs. These were sold out in the stores even before they reached the selling floor. Valentino just upped their must-have quotient with limited fluorescent versions available only in their Milan store.
Whenever I am in Manila, I always find myself at the Celestina store. Not always to shop but to be surrounded by a style and aesthetic that is supremely chic and individual.
This lavish Roger Vivier monograph will definitely take pride of place on my bookshelf since I have actually met and shared fun times with the visionaries behind the rebirth of the shoe label. Although it would have been nice to have gotten a chance to meet Monsieur Vivier himself, inventor of the stiletto heel.
