I have been in Los Angeles for the past few days. One of the highlights of my trips is getting to visit the stores of interior designers/decorators that I admire. I am making a series of these and starting it off with Kelly Wearstler and Nathan Turner who both happen to be on Melrose. Both designers have such different aesthetics as you will see from the photographs below. I hope you will find them inspiring.
KELLY WEARSTLER:
Edgy, polished, contemporary, a little kooky and overall envelope-pushing. I was drawn to the many anatomical sculptures in brass. Her store mixes her home line with her ready-to-wear.
NATHAN TURNER:
Relaxed and casual, a little eclectic. There’s a luxe nomadic quality to the merchandise and a nod to the beach life of California.

What do you think?
I love the purity of Wearstler’s collection. That said, my heart is drawn to Nathan Turner’s objects and eclectic style. It’s similar to my way of decorating. The pieces tell a story and make me dream.
Love those chairs upfront as well:)
