I am punctuating my posts on the Los Angeles Design Scene today with a story on the New York Gift Fair. It was my first time attending and I was glad that my dear friend Chandler Hudson Kenny (her husband Anderson Kenny was our architect for our New York City renovation) was with me to go through the many endless booths. We saw plenty of things, some utterly chic, some standouts, and several that were a bit ho-hum. As we went from space to space, we noticed several trends: rustic French country in the manner of Restoration Hardware, brass and gold mid-century style, chinoiserie, natural curiosities (there was even a booth named so) and botanical prints. Here are some photographic high lights.
