Is it a bird? Or is it a shoe? The plumes — in stunning shades of turquoise, canary and gray — suggest that it is a member of a bird species especially in parts where the feathers look like they are in flight. But it is a shoe. A breathtaking one at that. Such is the genius of Roger Vivier‘s Bruno Frisoni. He can re-imagine shoes into new forms and new shapes. Thereby inducing lust. And this pair called Blue Angel from the Rendez Vous collection will have many shoe lovers fluttering their wings to the nearest Roger Vivier store.

What do you think?
I’m thinking that paying almost 18 thou for a pair of kicks when the money could be spent helping someone less fortunate is a sad indication of contemporary culture today. If a museum bought a pair to exhibit as an example of early 21st century craftsmanship…perhaps. Otherwise, too decadent for words!
