While I have sworn off buying bags (because I have about 30 or so which never get used. I blame the It bag craze), I may just end up eating my words when Coach‘s James Nares collection becomes available in a month or so. The reason for this is that I love the work of James Nares and I have a small collection of his stunning brushstroke canvas. They are fluid and majestic, and the vibrant, jewel tone colors instantly pull you in. For the Coach + James Nares collection, the canvas tote bags are pretty much like a James Nares artwork—stark background with a single shot of brushstroke. There are five colors—green, blue, orange, black and fuchsia and they come in a limited edition of 175 per color. They will retail for US$798, a little steep for a canvas tote but that is really a small fraction of an actual James Nares art work.

I just purchased this bag last night here in chicago downtown.. and i GOT the black.. BEAUTIFUL! … i was surprised they still carried it… i was just curious thou why does blogs or articles say this bag is limited edition of 175 each color.. i have 33/170 .. could this be second batch ??? anyways i have one.. sooo im grateful!
I just got this yesterday. I love it. Love your blog too!
Aw, thanks JJ.
Love the James Nares bag too. Which color did you get? And of course I always enjoy reading your blog!
Pricey but I’m dying for it!
What am I thinking? I’m thinking over $800 plus tax for canvas would get me consigned to a mental hospital if my husband ever found out I popped for that much to score this week’s “bag of the moment”! Nice to look at on your blog, though!
But it is so beautiful though and it is quite literally a work of art… But I wouldn’t want you sent to the loony house
Thanks for visiting my blog.
